If the Devils lose both Gomez and Rafalski it will be interesting what Lou does to replace them.

That's a lot of money for Poti. Let the overpaying begin.

I just posted that.

That is a lot for Poti, but so far I think Tkachuk at 4 million per is the biggest overpayment. There's no way Tkachuk can keep up for 2 years deserving
that kind of money.
Plus servicable defenseman usually get more money than forwards, just because they are harder to find. |

The biggest overpayment so far is Timmonen. Philly gave the guy 8 million bucks. Now Rafalski wants 7 million.

Schnieder to Anaheim. 2 yrs. 11.25 Million as per TSN

Paula any word on the RFAs of your team? Have any of them accepted their QO's? Nothing's been posted - either on The Stars web site, TSN or any place else. Most likely, you'll hear about it before me. |

I think Scott Neidermayer is retiring. Why else sign Schneider for that much money?

Also reported on TSN http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=212425&hubname=nhl

I think Scott Neidermayer is retiring. Why else sign Schneider for that much money?I think he's retiring too. And Schneider lives in the LA area in the off-season so this is probably ideal for him as well. Dang, I really liked him though, I'm sad to see him leave the Wings. |

8 years 52 million. 6.5 per season
That's a really good money deal, but 8 years is too long. |

What is Philly going to do when Carter, Richards, and Umberger need to be resigned? They're right at the cap for a very long time.

Well they did need a top line centre. At least they didn't spend that sort of money on something they really didn't need like another enforcer.

Philadelphia sports radio is also reporting Gomez has agreed with the Rangers. I haven't seen anything online about that but the guy on the radio is a
pretty good hockey reporter with some good contacts.

Well thanks for the words anyway. Good luck to the Flyboys... though not too much luck. AH my stupid inner battle of red and orange.
