For some people, they can't afford insurance(my mom) and the state of Florida didn't expand Medicaid, so she can't get that either. I am not sure what she is going to do......

I'm not sure, I know that her employer does offer insurance but it is too expensive for her to buy.

I'm not sure, I know that her employer does offer insurance but it is too expensive for her to buy. Is it classified as too expensive or does she just consider it too expensive? Too expensive is >9% of income in my state I thing. The states that didn't expand Medicare have a big problem and this has to be a nightmare for people in the "gap" in those states.

All I know is that I am SO GLAD I have health insurance. I went through some issues earlier this year where if I hadn't had health insurance, I would have had to pay over $5,000 for my ER visits and other doctor bills. And my medication would be a lot more expensive than it is.

So as I am healthy, thank goodness, even if I have a deductible I will save money as the monthly premiums will go down, and I will NOT be limited to only two covered doc visits a year.
And how much do you bring home every month? Jesus it sounds EXPENSIVE. And I moan with my NHS contribution....
