Posts: 3265 08/01/2012 2:19 PM	So long story short, I got laid off from my job (last day was last Monday) and I'm currently looking for another. I've been using the usual sites like Indeed.com, etc. as well as working with recruiters I know in addition to chasing down any leads I get from friends and LinkedIn, but I hadn't asked JJB! I was a financial analyst at my last company and I'd like to do something similar, but I'm open to other suggestions/ideas as well. Anyone got any lesser known places they think I should check/try? Any ideas are welcome!!

Posts: 54622 08/01/2012 2:29 PM	i made a long list of all the places i'd like to work around here, and i check the job openings links on all of their sites. i know that's doing it the hard way, but i feel like you're more likely to get a response when you're contacting them directly.

Posts: 3265 08/01/2012 3:00 PM	Thanks, franknbeans!! I actually haven't done that; normally I've been referred to companies and then applied directly that way. It's a different approach and I can use all the help and perspective I can get!
