Do I get the same benefits? I mean duhhhh its still a fruit but I read somewhere that blending gets rid of some of the nutrients.

yeaaa youll still get the same benefits if you blend or juice them. would be nice to save the stuff aside from the juice if youre juicing

blending is a great way to boost your veggie and fruit intake. HEATING them kills off some of the nutrients, but blending is fine! juicing is also great, you get less fiber that way, but the nutrients are far more concentrated.

I always throw a huge handful of spinach in my fruit smoothies, and you can't even taste it!

Where the hell did I read that it wasn't the same? Damn....Oh well thats good cause I HATE veggie. I'm gonna put them in a blender, hold my nose and just shove it down my throat.

You will, if you prepare it fresh every time. Some vitamins get destroyed when you let the stuff stand for too long.

you should look into juicing! you can get a decent juicer for around $100-$150, and there are lots of fruit and veggie combos that really mask the flavor of veggies (my ex HATED veggies, but loved the juice). you can get all of your daily needs in just one big glass of yummy juice.

Basically.....lol I mean I will make a salad but then I will put all that dressing on it. I know thats bad for me.....I like tomatoes and celery I guess.

I always forget that a tomato is a fruit lol. I like avocado....hmmm only pasta I like really has chicken in it. I'm pretty bad at incorporating things in my diet so I wanted to just throw it all together in the blender and just drink it. I would get a juicer but I can't afford it right now.

Juicing is the only way I get my veggies in.

Maybe you read that drinking V8 wasn't the same? Because with all that sodium (even the "low sodium" brand), it really isn't.

v8 also loads their shit up with tomato juice like its water. you arent getting anywhere near the amount of nutrients if you juice or blend stuff yourself.

I bought a Nutribullet (similar to magic bullet) two months ago, and that is the only way I eat vegetables. I freaking love it.

It's not nasty either. If you have a blender, just put some fresh spinach, kale, and carrots in a blender and add in apples or strawberries, blueberries, etc. and water. I also add in protein sometimes. You can blend any vegetable or fruit really, and it won't taste bad. You'll just need to figure out how much to blend though. I haven't used an actual blender before.

I used to have the Jack Lalanne's juicer, but it was a bitch to clean up. It's a good juicer though.

Juicing is not the same as eating fruits/veggies whole. You don't get the fiber which is what helps slow the sugar absorption.

Also, smoothies and stuff is liquid food, which makes the body need to do way less work to process. Less work= more easily stored as fat. And you don't get full as easily as if you ate the real thing so you take in more calories.

I avoid liquid food for these reasons. However, if you really eat NO veggies/fruits otherwise, it is definitely better than nothing.

Well I disagree, juicing is a great way for your body to absorb micronutrients quickly and easily. I wouldn't be concerned about the calories unless you're juicing a bunch of fruit all day long. If you're currently not eating much in the way of fruits and veggies I think juicing would be awesome for you.

The fiber is also what makes you full. You can eat fifteen grapes and be full but that amount of juice would just make you less thursty.

You hate all vegetables and fruits? All of them? Are you four? Do you have a disorder or something?
