It's illegal here in NY though it really has never stopped people from visiting our friendly neighbors in PA, driving around for a while (because the cops will follow stupid people from the fireworks shops to the state border), having dinner and then returning to NY.

It was illegal in Michigan until this month. We always had to drive to Indiana or Ohio to pick up the illegals. We always set them off at our cottage on the beach, the cops and coastguard don't care up there.

From what I remember in Indiana? Most of the places that sell them, you can't set them off. But the next county over, you can, but they can't sell them! So silly

I don't know the exact types from the picture, lol, but CA has state laws then county laws. All the fireworks around here that you can buy at the stands are just small poppers and merh stuff. Nothing that actually shoots up and explodes like the shows haha.

i've never experienced it myself. I hate fireworks so I don't ever intend on it. But this is what I've been told by about 2 different people and 2 different times. I think my ex told me that last summer & then this summer my boyfriends family was telling me about it. I was shocked. I guess they even go to the extent of signs on the door saying if you are a PA resident you can't walk in. It's crazy. I could be wrong though. Like I said, this is what i've heard. Not something I've experienced first hand.

Depends on the city here. They're illegal in the city limits of Houston, but perfectly legal in Harris County (which Houston is in). Doesn't stop people but it's illegal. My parents live just outside the city though so I can shoot those off all day if I wanted to.

I remember when I was a kid there'd be a cop at/near the stand. If you turned left onto the road, they'd stop you, take your stuff and fine you. If you turned right and down maybe half a mile, you were fine. That didn't stop people from turning right, going down that half mile or so and then coming back up a back road to get back into the city.

In WA, it largely depends on the cities/towns-- the more urban/people, usually they just ban it and tell people just to go to the show the city provides. Its usually the Indian reservations that are selling the better and cheaper fireworks.
