Rookie Blue will be staying on duty.

ABC has picked up the Canadian-produced cop drama for a fourth season.

The Toronto-based series, starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith as rookie officers, is currently airing its third season, with new episodes returning this Thursday at 10/9c.

Production on Season 4 is slated to begin later this summer.

I wish we'd start watching at the beginning. It sounds good, but I hate picking up series in the middle.

I just started watching last summer and the wait for another season is ridiculously long. And obviously there's only 13 episodes, which kinda sucks. But at least they make those a GOOD 13 episodes.

I agree. This is why some of the best shows I watch have short seasons
