Damn, it's so easy to insert - what the heck?! Thursday I headed to the beach in 100 degree weather (everyoneeee went that day), but I couldn't even play in the water. Normally I wear pads, so all I had on was a bikini top/bottom with a pad on and denim shorts over my bottom. I only allowed the ocean water to hit my knees. It was not fun whatsoever and my body was dying to cool off, but I refused to get my crotch wet. =( When I had plans to go down to the beach again with someone Saturday, I didn't want the same experience. I attempted to use a tampon when I was 17/18 years old and I had no idea what to do. It hurt so bad and I wasted so many. Yesterday I decided to give it another try and I was able to put it in within one minute, I was excited. 
I can't believe how much more free that you feel with a tampon! You can almost forget it's even there. I won't completely quit pads (I don't know, I get a bit paranoid about leaking with a tampon. Does that happen?), but tampons definitely changed my life.
