It's sad how jealous the moms are of Maddie (Dance Moms)

Posts: 54622 06/20/2012 3:07 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	i don't agree at all with that. while she definitely has some natural talent, i think the other girls might be closer to her level if they got as much attention as she does. she gets that amount of attention because her mom's lips are firmly planted on abby's ass, lol. i don't think the moms really even have an issue with maddie so much as they do with abby and how she treats their daughters. i think all the other moms want is for their kids to receive the same treatment since they are all paying the same amount. that whole situation is abby's doing. she creates a massive amount of tension with the extreme favoritism she shows maddie and with the way she "punishes" the girls whose moms she doesn't like. if i were one of the moms, i would've pulled my daughter a long time ago b/c i can't stand abby's attitude. It really was horrible to see Abby crying over Maddie and consoling Maddie when she forgot her dance, but if someone else forgets it's "oh well you should have been more prepared. Yep, and that's why I think they're all idiots. Those moms are like broken records complaining about how awful Abby is and how their kids aren't treated fairly, but they keep going back. I feel bad for the kids.

Exactly. Some of it is for TV of course, but you know the mom's stay because they're gettin' paid. The girls got to walk the red carpet at something not long ago. Where the other mothers do some immature things sometimes, Melissa isn't any better. She sits there and acts like she's better than everyone else and Abby keeps telling her she is! There is clear favoritism there. It doesn't matter if Maddie has natural performing talent or not. You don't act like that in front of kids. And her stupid ass pyramid is just that; stupid. She keeps going off on the mothers being "bad mothers", but she's no great example herself. And there's an assistant that teaches the girls the dances. She goes to the competitions too. She's just not often featured. But she's there.

But she's there. i honestly find melissa to be worse than the other mothers. she's always claiming she doesn't speak up b/c she's a doormat. that really isn't the case, though since she has no problem speaking up behind people's backs. i think she's such a weasel, and she's reached a new low now that she keeps running to abby to tattle on children. at least when the other moms mention her daughter, their concerns are legit and really aren't meant as an attack on maddie. however, melissa is actually smearing children to be spiteful and get ahead with abby, yet she's still trying to play victim and complain that people are out to get her daughter. i agree that she's very smug, too. i just hope her behavior doesn't rub off on her daughters b/c right now, they both seem like sweet little girls with pretty good dispositions. abby is a huge hypocrite. she's very critical of everyone else, but as you said, she doesn't set a good example either. it's also funny to see her playing dumb and throwing out the jealousy accusation anytime someone tries to address the very problems that she creates. she's just a really unfair person all around. That's what the mother's keep trying to say, but it's not getting through. Melissa really is smug. I do think some of it has rubbed off on Maddie though. "I'm so good...I'm good at this". Where it's good to have confidence (Chloe lacks confidence, but she's getting better), Abby's praise of her can very easily go to her head. And I agree, at least the other mom's don't attack Maddie. I don't think they're jealous of the child. They're unhappy that their daughters don't get the chance to GET to Maddie's level in Abby's eyes. How can they improve when she doesn't give them a chance? Especially Paige. That poor kid.

Melissa is a brown noser who goes behind everyones back to make sure that her daughter is in the limelight. I mean, when they did the auditions for that music video, she went and set up a coffee date with the producer guy. I mean, who does that but a show mom who is living out her life through her daughter. Now the other mothers aren't much better though but I can see where their frustrations come from. To me there is no adult on that show, they all act like children especially Abby. Anyone else want to smack the shit out of the Candy Apple lady?! OMG!

Besides the fact that if Abby ever spoke to me like that, I'd probably deck her and I'm not a fighter, the woman is an asshole and plays favorites. While the show itself is very contrived and I can tell what's just a load of BS, the only reason I even kept watching the show was because those girls and how they look when they're dancing. I didn't think anyone here watched Dance Moms, I discovered it the night before the new season aired and just so badly wished I was a trained dancer...lol.

Oh, and I rather think Abby DID run Maddie through that dance either without music or with the skipped music. Where I think the kid is talented, she didn't even FLINCH when that CD skipped. I've been in the dance world for a long time and, after her forgetting her dance and running off stage crying, she would have, at least, flinched before continuing. Abby wasn't going to have her precious Maddie mess up and cry again. No way. I'm with the mom's and the conspiracy on that one. And Cathy needs to disappear. She's worse than all the other mom's put together!! All her childish insults. "Nose" REALLY??? I would have been thrown in jail for sure, because I would have decked her from the get-go. And I feel bad for her daughter too. Not only can the child NOT dance (poor thing sucks), but she doesn't even want to. She's an evil woman too. The other added mothers are crazy too. The studio-hopper that took her daughter to Cathy's. They're all crazy. lol.
