The lives of Bristol Palin and her son Tripp are chronicled.With never-before-granted access to Bristol’s real-life experiences, the show follows her everyday life as a single mother living under intense media scrutiny that comes from her lineage as the daughter of former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin

In the opener, Bristol and Tripp travel to Los Angeles and adjust to life in the big city along with her sister Willow. Mark Ballas appears.

I love how in the commercials she claims to "hate Hollywood" yet this is the THIRD television show she's willingly taken part of in less than 2 years.

Looks like Bristol Palin might be heading back to Alaska sooner than expected.

"Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," the new Lifetime reality show that follows the daughter of former VP candidate Sarah Palin as she moves to L.A. with her young son Tripp, debuted to dismal ratings last night. The premiere attracted a mere 726,000 viewers; by comparison, mama grizzly Sarah's TLC show "Sarah Palin's Alaska" debuted to 5 million viewers last year, and the "Dance Moms" episode that preceded "Life's a Tripp" last night on Lifetime earned 1.8 million viewers. "Tripp" didn't even rank among the top 100 cable programs of the night in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

And that viewer disinterest is right in line with the scathing reviews Bristol's show received from critics. (Finally, a show viewers and critics can agree on!) Most reviews called the show dull and overly staged, with the Washington Post writing: "Even if you have a lasting grudge against all things Palin, there’s no payoff here. It’s a new low for anyone who makes the mistake of watching." Time magazine characterized the show as "flailing to provoke us and getting our attention, then fumbling for anything to say once it gets it," and the San Francisco Chronicle called it "not very interesting, and you probably wouldn't watch if she wasn't who she is." Apparently, you probably wouldn't watch in any case.

I liked it, but I agree it has nothing to say really...Willow is definately the firecracker in that fam, I loved when she called Bristol a immature 20 year old mom...LOL, but I did feel bad about that club incident, I would have beat the shit out of that dude. I don't agree with with all the Palin politics, but I don't hate them, or Bristol at all, Has she done something that I am not aware of???

I read this, read the attention whore bit and then looked at your avatar (Burns) and almost choked!

He's got a great "attention whore" face going on in that picture

As for Bristol, I saw a promo for this and her schtick about being hated and discriminated against and needing to tell her side, like WTF? Stop talking, stop trying to extend your 15 minutes of fame that was brought on by your stupid mother and just live your life as a normal non-celebrity. No one cares about you. Stop trying to make Palin happen! It won't happen.

Also, I'd love to know how she has been discriminated. She needs to take a good hard look at her life, where she is, the money in her bank account, the "fame" she's had and realize, she has had it pretty damn good and to be grateful. I get the feeling that her parents taught her more about hate and discrimination VS love and acceptance.

I actually just watched the episodes onDemand. I really enjoyed it. I was in tears at how that man just verbally attacked her for no reason. To wish death on someone like that? Uncalled for. I think she handled it very well, IMO.

I know it's not a favorable thing, but I'm a republican, I like the Palin's as a family.

I don't think she handled it well. He said her mother was evil, she asked if he wanted her dead, he said that if there was a hell, she would probably be there but he didn't believe in hell and then she hit him will, oh you must be a homosexual and when he asked why, she said because he looked like it. If that is handling it well, then that is on you.

And I would guess many of us have some things to say after all the vile, rude, uncalled for and evil things that the Palin family have said in the past, present and probably the future.

ita. i just cannot see the palins as victims, especially since they have not been that kind towards others in the past. they can dish it but can't take it, i guess.
