Chris Brown injured in bar fight with Drake's entourage over Rihanna

Chris Brown was left with a gash on his chin after he got into a brawl with rapper Drake's entourage at a New York club early this morning.

Their entourages, partying at SoHo club W.I.P., started throwing blows and bottles over Brown’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna, TMZ reported.

She briefly dated Drake after breaking up with Brown three years ago. The “Run It” singer beat up Rihanna after they attended a pre-Grammys party on Feb. 8, 2009.

Brown tweeted a photo after the fight showing a cut on his chin. According to reports he also tweeted: "How u party with rich n---- that hate? Lol....Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!"

Both the photo and the message have since been removed.

NYPD officers arrived at the club on Varick Street after receiving a call after 4 a.m. and five people were injured.

Brown and Drake were not at the scene when police arrived.

Witnesses to the fight said "all hell broke loose" at the SoHo club, leaving glass shattered on the ground and Brown with a bloody chin.

Hot 97 reported on its blog that Drake's security walked up to Brown's table and asked "if he had a problem."

"Then people started throwing bottles, all hell broke loose, bottles were flying everywhere, and Chris Brown tweeted he got cut from the madness" the station reported.

But Russell Simmons' blog Global Grind reports the battle started after Brown sent a bottle over to Drake, but Drake didn't take the gesture kindly.

Drake approached Brown, and "began arging about Rihanna" the site reported.

"Drake punched Chris Brown in the face and hit him in the mouth with a bottle before he could retaliate from the punch" the site added.

Multiple sources have said that bottles were flying everywhere, and Global Grind posted a photo of glass shattered on the dance floor of the nightclub.

Brown also tweeted, "N----- throwing bottles! Y'all n----- weak!" Then "Ok! N---- stand behind security! OK! U don't pay them enough!" Then: "N---- hiding the bathroom bitch ass n-----!"

A rep for W.I.P. has not returned an email for comment. A rep for Brown didn't immediately respond.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed to The Post that there was an assault at the club.

"There was an assault at that location between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. and five people were injured,” the NYPD rep said.

As reported by The Post, Brown and Rihanna have recently started getting closer.

They’ve been spotted partying with their entourages at New York clubs including SL and Avenue. Brown joined Rihanna and her family to watch the Miami Heat game at Jay-Z's 40/40 on Saturday.
