I REALLY hope he doesn't have a history of this but I strongly suspect this won't be the last we've heard about this. I read more about in on AOL.com. Good for that father! To me it's understandable, you see a loved one getting attacked, your little girl no less, you're going to go ballistic. I don't blame the dad one bit but wouldn't it be good to have him live in humiliation when he was outed as a pedophile and have other inmates scare the living hell out of him everyday. You know, since pedophiles are most hated in prison. But then there's that time that he will get out.. and most of them don't stop.

I'm glad they've realised it was defence and aren't charging him - this is a good person who was trying to protect a child in a seriously provoking situation and lost his head as anybody would have I think the fact that he does feel remorseful - despite the guy who died being such a scum sucking piece of shit - just goes to show that.

I don't think I would've had the strength, and emotions aside, he killed another human being. I didn't think vigilante justice was still legal. He let his emotions get the best of him. (It'd be hard to act rationally, maybe if it were me he'd be badly beaten as most people probably aren't strong enough to kill another human being with their hands alone).

I also think that you misjudge how strong a person can become when in an extreme emotional state. Its also not like he set out to kill him, its was a byproduct of the blows to the head he was giving to the dirt bag who was raping his 4 year old child.

I mean I'd go ape shit if someone touched my niece inappropriately and I saw it. But I don't think he can claim insanity, and if he didn't mean to kill him, he would've stopped after one or two blows. Or maybe he just couldn't help himself. I've never been that angry before I don't think. But I mean if it were me, I'd feel horrible for killing another human being, and for the horrible thing that happened to my kid.
