What kind of stupid idiot kids mess with random dogs with no fear of being bit? I wouldnt yell at the kids or call the cops for Juliannes situation but for this I would. Gross. And if they messed with my dog like this (not that anyone ever could because he's never in the position to be, my backyard is super secluded and has gates and walls) I would not hesitate to scream or throw things at them or spray them with water or something. Are these dogs just like laying unattended in the front yard? Im so confused by this.

I called my landlord this first time, but if it keeps up (or God forbid, gets worse), you can bet I will be sending written complaints. Ninido- I think this has morphed into a neighbor venting post! Unless it bothers Julieanne? Like I said before, it's been so nice to read that other people have similar experiences and give each other support and advice about this stuff. It really is so frustrating when you're dealing with it. We all pay rent, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to be able to live in your apartment in (relative) peace and quiet, especially at night, and to have your personal property left alone! I have permission from our landlord to have my birdfeeder out in the back part of the yard, and the sandbox is in the space right behind my unit (it's under my son's bedroom window, in fact). My planters are right outside my back door, all on my half of the shared back porch. Julieanne's things are on her patio, too. I don't know why kids think they have the right to come onto someone else's patio or porch and touch, handle, play with, or destroy things that they know, full well, don't belong to them or their parents. Even a 3 year old knows that sandbox isn't his, those aren't his mom's plants, that birdfeeder isn't his parents', etc. Grr!

A few years back, I had a house in a very "family oriented neighbourhood" (i.e. kids everywhere and little parties for the families, held in the street). One day, there was a tennis finale Nadal-Federer. So I was watching it and when I'm watching tennis, I pratically turn into a monster if I'm slightly disturbed. It was the final set, the END of the final set, very close score. The doorbell rings. I don't move, I don't care. Whatever it is, it can wait. They ring again...and again...and again. Non stop. I guess they could hear my tv was on. Then they KNOCK on my door's window! And they don't go "knock knock", nooo, more like BAM BAM. I get up, go to the door, open it and then YELL to these two little girls, who are maybe 10: ARE YOU F***ING CRAZY KNOCKING ON MY DOOR LIKE THAT? IF YOU BREAK THE WINDOW AND HURT YOURSELF? AND IF I'M NOT ANSWERING THE DOOR, THERE IS A REASON, STOP RINGING THE DAMN BELL!!! They wanted to give me a flyer for the stupid street party. I told them they could have put it under the little statue by the door, whatever but NEVER COME TO MY DOOR EVER AGAIN!!! Later in the day, one of them came to apologize for disturbing me, and the other one never came close to me ever again Yeah, I know, I overdid it, but I wasn't in my right mind back then...and I did miss the last point.
