I went to a friend's last night for dinner and didn't get back until almost 10. But when I got up this morning, I noticed that my bird feeder was missing (I have it on a pole that has two hooks- one for the bird seed feeder and the other has the hummingbird feeder on it). I walked over and saw that the top of the seed feeder was off, the handle/hook was removed, and the feeder itself was upside down in the garden, with all the seed in a pile underneath it Now, it could have been knocked off, fallen off, etc. BUT, the top UNSCREWS, so I doubt that was a result of "circumstance". And the handle/hook was removed from the feeder, so I had to basically reassemble it, refill it, and screw the top back on. Needless to say, I'm not happy. Will be having another convo with the parents today, I guess. I've had that feeder for over a year and have never seen it come off the hook. Even during a storm. And it's never been upside down, with the top and hanger removed from it before now. I doubt all of this destruction is a coincidence, with the new neighbors here. FML.

I'm around kids all the time/work with kids/deal with them in different circumstances and this is way too common. I literally watch how kids grab things that aren't theirs and misbehave in various ways while parents just sit around them doing absolutely nothing about it. And what's worse is those parents are usually the one's to throw a tiff when someone corrects their child or complains about them.

Get the cops involved and let them find out where the kids live....maybe they'll at least give you the apartment numbers after the fact? You've been a saint with all this though....I would have gone out there and yelled I had a gun or something. Maybe you need to play up the crazy lady act to keep them from near your place? Good luck, Julie! I hope you get some kind of reprieve soon. And you're welcome for the previous comment. Just by how you sound, you're a great mother that I'd love to hang out with and emulate.

spannbc wrote:Bella you seem a little nuts about this topic. Saying that you'd yell that you have a gun (seriously what the fuck) and being mad that people slam doors? Uh that's what happens when you live in an apartment, there are people on top and below and around you. Noise is unavoidable. Also lol at you repeatedly referring to your future kids as progeny. Hope your progeny never makes a loud noise outdoors, resulting in some wacko threatening to shoot them like you would.

I'm quoting this before you edit. Nuts. People don't joke about or pretend to have guns to scare people, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN. At least not normal people.

Maybe your brand of humor just falls flat for me or better yet I'm not used to people joking about threatening children with deadly weapons. You seem bitter about something.
