Yes. My 21st wasn't the first time I had had a drink, I had been to a couple of parties and weekend things while at college my first year. The first time I ever got drunk and had a big hangover was some weekend party I went to when I was 19. But I didn't drink every weekend while at college, it was a rare thing for me to actual drink and just get wasted. I'm not to keen on being out of control, I like being in control and knowing my surroundings at all times.

My 21st birthday always falls during spring break. For my actual birthday, I got a mani-pedi during the day at my aunt's salon. For dinner, a bunch of my family took me out and my mom bought me my first actual drink on my 21st. Then I hosted a bowling party because a lot of my friends were only 20 (I took a year off before college, I was a year ahead even though we were all in the same class). I had a beer or two at the bowling alley and then my over 21 friends took me out to my first bar. We just hung around, listened to music, talked, sang Karaoke and everyone at the bar was offering to buy me drinks, so I let them. I wasn't falling down drunk but I was drunk, although I do have a perfect memory of everything that happened.

I've never in my life drank to the point where I blacked out and don't remember, I can remember everything that happened on each night that I drank and was tipsy, wasted and drunk drunk drunk. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing

My two friends drove me back home after the bar closed and I remember, even sitting in the backseat, I was having trouble staying upright whenever we turned on a little curve while driving. Then I rushed up the stairs to my apartment, had a couple smokes on the balcony with friends, they left and I went to bed.

It was a good birthday.
