(the half is a book I started months ago and put down and picked back up to finish). Damn curiosity in The Hunger Games...

Posts: 139 05/31/2012 8:29 PM	I just finished "Grimalkin the Witch Assassin" by Joseph Delaney from The Last Apprentice series. The books are amazing, don't laugh. LOL! The story can get a bit gory but is fast paced. Yesterday, I began "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern in which the plot is intriguing but the first few chapters start off a little slow.

Posts: 1253 05/31/2012 9:24 PM	Right now I'm reading Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares. It's an adult continuation of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series and so far it is thoroughly depressing. I'm hoping it gets better because it's just making me sad.

Posts: 10707 05/31/2012 10:08 PM	I'm halfway through The Gatekeeper by Madeleine Wickham (aka Sophie Kinsella). I'm not really into it as much as with the rest of her books. I've also been reading Will I Ever Be Good Enough? by Karyl McBride. It's a self-help book directed at daughters of narcissistic mothers. My mom's not really a narcissist, but my dad is, so I'm gaining a lot of insight through this book and have made some changes in my thoughts, behaviors and interactions with people. Posts: 502 05/31/2012 10:53 PM	I tend to read more nonfiction. That said, I just finished all 750+ plus pages of Bill Simmon's Book of Basketball and am currently reading Andy Cohen's book, "Most Talkative" and "American Prince," Tony Curtis' memoir.

Another book rec I always make is Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. One of the best YA books I've read. It's seriously amazing.

Really enjoyed that. Moving on to Princess Academy by Shannon Hale & Tiger's Wife by Tea Obreht. Miss Peregrine's sounds interesting!

I think the author could have done something different than what she did. I still loved it though. I'm battling "Gone With the Wind." I just started it.

Posts: 3005 06/01/2012 11:24 PM	I just finished Betrayal by Danielle Steel and did not like it at all. This was my first time reading a book by Danielle Steel and judging by this book I do not like how she writes. There was alot of repeating, a character would be thinking something and then in the next paragraph they would say word for word want they were thinking to another character. That was annoying. I didn't like the main character, nobodys that busy that they can't pay their own bills. And I felt like the bad person was too obvious, there was no suspense leading up to the reveal, I knew it was that character as soon as they were mentioned. Forgot to mention before I read Danielle Steel's book I read Terrified by Kevin O'Brien. The book was long but I managed to read it in one day. It was really good and I feel like it was good enough to become a movie. Edited 1 time by 06/01/2012 11:30 PM.
