The identity of the naked man who was killed by Miami police while eating another naked man’s face on Saturday is released.

Rudy Eugene, 31, is believed to have been homeless. His last address is a home in North Miami Beach. The current residents said they didn’t know Eugene, but neighbors remember him.

“The only thing I remember was he was a quiet boy,” Micheline Barret recalled to CBS, adding he moved several years ago.

Eugene reportedly had numerous, previous run-ins with police, mostly for drug related offenses, trespassing and resisting arrest without violence.

Ives Eugene, 55, revealed to the Associated Press he was Rudy Eugene’s uncle, and described his nephew as a “nice and hard-working” man who washed cars at a local dealership. He claims his nephew had asked his girlfriend to borrow her car, but she said no.

“So he rode the bicycle, and he never came back home,” Ives Eugene told the Associated Press.

‘I wouldn’t say he had [a] mental problem but he always felt like people was against him type of attitude,” ex-wife Jenny Ductant confessed to Local 10, saying the marriage ended when Eugene became increasingly violent. “No one was for him, everyone was against him.”

The victim, still not yet identified but also believed to be homeless, remains in extremely critical condition at the Jackson Memorial Hospital. Authorities are still asking for any witnesses to come forward to help explain how this bizarre event happened.

Eugene is suspected to have been under the influence of an LSD-like drug called “bath salts,” according to Armando Aguilar, the president of the Fraternal Order of Police, who also noted, “I have a message for whoever is selling it out there: You can be arrested for murder if you are selling this LSD to people, unsuspecting people on the street and somebody ends up dying as a result you will be charged with murder.”
