I was at lunch the other day and the group I was with were talking about the book. One girl said not to read it if you aren't in a relationship bc you'll need "release" while you're reading it. I wanted to side eye her so bad. I haven't read it though but I can't imagine it having that kind of effect on people!

I read the plot description on Wikipedia and was so turned off and weirded out. It sounds like a sick, twisted, sad, disturbing book.

I can't imagine needing a "release" while reading it. Some chicks are so desperate anything turns them on.

Well this isn't a sappy love story. This is more like a try-hard erotica that would turn on a cat in heat. I'm pretty sure a porno from the 80's with the pizza delivery dude at the door has a better
storyline.

I read them, they were fun but got old quickly. Anyone who regards them as scandalous or amazing doesn't get out much, I suppose. Horribly written, but there were a few good parts. Very few. I think it's for Twilight fans and soccer moms who aren't getting laid.

Have not read/seen twilight but am reading the 50 shades books, and have recommended it to friends in 20s-40s and its just a fun trashy summer read. But I can not help but picture her as the character when I am reading it!
