It truly is Kristen Stewart who steals the show from Snow White And The Huntsman. Despite the big special effects in the film, it is Stewart who manages to deliver a performance that proves her actually worthy of the role. Absent is the stumbling uncertainty of Bella Swan (though there are moments when Stewart has to play Snow White as confused or hurt). When Snow White is trained to be a leader, Stewart takes the role and works it. The idea of Kristen Stewart with authority or gravitas in a role will never be put in doubt again once audiences take in Snow White And The Huntsman! Stewart is able to level a steely glare that works and there is something about the way she sets her jaw that defines determination exceptionally well. Ultimately, Snow White And The Huntsman is an engaging action adventure movie and it satisfies the adult/twentysomething desire to re-experience fairy tales in a more adult context. Posts: 8360 05/25/2012 4:19 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	About Chris and Charlize: Chris Hemsworth manages to play the Huntsman as a strong individual without simply retreading his interpretation of Thor. In fact, one of the few likable character aspects of Hemsworth’s Huntsman in Snow White And The Huntsman is that the character is cautious and smart. Moreover, Sanders does not capitalize on Hemworth’s looks. In Snow White And The Huntsman, Chris Hemsworth is sweaty and dirty and he looks like a guy who is used to being out in the woods. And Hemsworth pulls it off (even if he doesn’t keep to one distinct accent for his lines). Charlize Theron, who is looking to have a pretty awesome two weeks whatwith Snow White And The Huntsman and Prometheus making their debuts back to back, does what she can with the somewhat monolithic character of Raveena. Like many fairy tales, Snow White And The Huntsman does not provide the viewer with a truly satisfying reason as to why the antagonist wants absolute power. Her insecurity is fairly well-documented, but Raveena’s passion to stay alive and beautiful is not terribly compelling. Theron does what she can with the role, though more often than not, she makes Raveena an icy despot, as opposed to a character with more depth or apparent cunning. Huntsman was supposed to sound scottish i think he was really not far off, there were a bit of mix of the accents which i loved like commons had more distinct and the royals had this posh london accent The gifs you posted he was treating her like little girl, she was very vulnerable there, pleading him to help her. Her acting was great, she was by no means rough all the time, she was so sweet and kid like but roughened up to remove the Queen yet stayed noble and good.

I thought she was great in it and dead on par to be Jodie's daughter. Snow is just... I guess I have greater expectations with my childhood tales. The only movie I liked her in was The Panic Room. I wouldn't say she's unattractive, she's just average. I want to see the movie but I already saw clips of her speaking & she slipped out of that fake accent too many times which annoyed me to no end. I 'm not sure if I can look past that.

I know everyone has their own opinion but sometimes I feel like "did everyone watch the same movie?" lol No, but so far most of the reviews have been favorable to the whole cast so that's good. That's fairly good but anticipating this since November makes me wish it could get more. It's 83% on rotten tomatoes so far. But, I suppose a good excuse could be that in certain "realms" people moved and were from all over so it's not unlikely that a mesh of accents happened with certain people. It’s popular to criticise Stewart for a lack of range, but here her performance works quite well. What’s particularly impressive is how flawless her accent is. In fact, hers is the most consistent accent in the film, even amongst the cast members born and raised in England. By contrast Theron’s attempt changes more or less with every shot, while Hemsworth’s attempt at a Scottish accent – presumably to differentiate the Huntsman from his recent turn as Thor – is just a bit odd. It’s also provides for some unintentionally racist subtext, portraying the only Scotsman in the film as a violent drunk. New York Magazine: Kristen Stewart is not an obvious choice for Snow White, given her habitual expression of discomfort while striking conventional feminine poses—both in movies and on red carpets. That’s why, of course, she’s right for this Snow White, imprisoned in a tower during puberty and with no regard for her looks: She has integrity, inner beauty. “How do I inspire? How do I lead men?” she asks the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth), a grief-stricken drunk who teaches Snow White how to stab her opponents by using the weight of their onrushing bodies against them. Honestly, there were plenty of other actors they could have cast besides Kristen, but I'm going to try to go into the film with an open mind even though I was so turned off by her Twilight performances and her need to always look dirty in real life. A lot of people said she's good in this movie, the ones who went to advanced screenings. She got praised for "On the Road" where they say she's the highlight of the film by critics! I guess Twilight is basically the only thorn on her side although critic's liked her performance in the last one. Meh. Critics can be right, but sometimes they can be wrong. At the end of the day, it's just one opinion, and it doesn't mean more because it's in print. And technically, I'm a critic too. I always take what they say with a grain of salt. They also like Scarlett who is gorgeous, but when she acts she sometimes seems like she has some kind of mental defect. Just watch The Other Boleyn Girl. For the record, I'm not that shallow and think there's more to acting that just looking pretty, but I still think there were a handful of actresses they could have cast besides Kristen. Her spastic nature bugs me.

She's always been dead-on when imitating Rob's so this shouldn't be any different!
