American Idol Finale - 5/22 (Part 1) @8-9 | 5/23 (Part 2) Crowning of New American Idol @8-10:07

The last time an urban artist won was in Season 3. Not really, all she did was ballads where she imitated pop artists. She doesn't have a genre. It's why she bombed on the original song. Not only did she picked yet another ballad that was just for her show off, she had no idea how to sing it because it wasn't done before, so there was nobody for her imitate. She had no clue how to sing the song she chose. She was the definition of what Simon used to called karaoke. If Simon was there he would have called her on it months ago and call her out on only singing ballads. Where as Phillip could change songs up and make them his own. He could create his own melody and work with songs to make them come to life instead of just doing a copy..

I don't think she knew what she wanted to be either. She's still young, and she has a great voice, so she will be fine. I liked PP all season. I enjoy a guy singing with a guitar. Sorry. I hate the over singing loudness of most female singers. Not my thing. Anyway, hopefully Phillip will be successful. I've liked him more than any of the winners in the past couple of years. Hated Kris and Lee. Also, out of those pictures, Scotty is doing extremely well in the country genre. I would not call him a flop by any means at all.
