We've been dating a little over a month now, and initially it looked promising .. our chemistry was off the charts, we were inseparable, we had fun together. Things were going good, but as time passed I started to realize he may not be the one I want because he has so much instability going on in his life. I tried to give him a fair chance and have continued to date him casually to see how I felt when he actually moved here in a couple of months and got settled. I've kept my own options, but I haven't really been seeing anyone but him.
Last night he asked me to get on Skype and said he needs to talk to me and pretty much word vomited that he'd bumped into someone from his past and that he really likes her and thought she liked him too. They made plans to be together and and go out on a date last night, but then in the middle of it her friends came over and she pretty much completely ignored him and ended up canceling their plans for plans with her friends. The best part is he wanted me to play therapist to the situation and make him feel better because "his self-esteem is shot" all while having the nerve to say "I'm sorry I had to tell you this, I'm pretty sure I hurt you but please know I still have feelings for you .. this girl is just really special."
I just ... I don't know what to say. Back then and now. Not sure what he wanted me to say or how he expected me to console him over there so I pretty much just said "Ok. Good luck!" and ignored him. I mean WTF? What would you guys have said to him?
All that being said I'm not that hurt that he missed out on me, but I do feel a bit disappointed because almost every guy I date the same thing happens. I'm a "really great girl" and they like me a lot, but there's always someone better than me. Usually some crazy chick that plays with their mind. Womp womp womp.
