The end, when they cut to the church and Barney's wedding, the words said something like "a little bit into the future" or something like that. So I wonder if next season will take place at the wedding, or will they start with Quinn and Barney breaking up and Robin and Barney getting back together.

I was surprised when it showed Robin in the dress, I thought they'd let that die. But the show just got renewed for 2 more seasons, right? So I guess they have to fill in those two years with something. I doubt we'll be at the wedding right away next season because that would mean we'd meet the mother and we can't do that, we'll probably meet the mother like in the 2nd to last show before the series finale

My mom and I were talking about the show, she's never really seen the show but she knows the premise of what it is about. We were talking about the story that Ted is telling his kids and she was thinking maybe we'll never see the mother. Like maybe he'll say something about how he was at a wedding and saw her and the rest was history. I don't know. She was thinking maybe we'll never see the mother because maybe she recently passed away and he's reminiscing with the kids about her and his life leading up to how he met their mother.

It'll be interesting to see how they end this show because it just seems to be dragging on and on. Like the writers/creators didn't know the show would go this far so they are filling it with as much fluff and crap to just get to the end of the story so we can finally see who the mother is.
