We both have a mutual understanding that right now isn't the right time and we plan on it in the future. It's just so funny when "outsiders" feel you should be getting engaged. "We will be right now if you want to pay for it!"

Posts: 2134 05/14/2012 6:38 PM	Asking when you're going to have a baby is worse, IMO. Especially when you are trying and getting frustrated. I got asked by both my grandmas, my husbands grandmother and my MIL on Mothers Day, "when will we be wishing you Happy Mothers Day?". So frustrating!

ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A SURPRISE QUESTION YOUR FIANCE ASKS YOU!!!! I mean yes all serious couples discuss marriage/future at some point but traditionally when he pops the question is a surprise!! And how do you answer the question without weirding out your partner, if he's standing right there??

They don't ACTUALLY care when you are getting engaged, they just want to know intimate details of your life. A real friend would ask, "how is your relationship going" or say something like "wow, you guys are so great together, you look so happy". Not asking personal questions... I'm really touchy about this because I'm in medical school and I won't be settling down for a looong time.

I actually had a friend recently get engaged after 7 years of dating her now fiance. She turns to me among all our friends and was like "So...when do you think you'll get engaged?" Bitch, are you serious? You were just in my shoes two seconds ago
