The penguin is a meme, in himself. He's the "socially awkward penguin". Ie: always doing the wrong thing, at the wrong place, at the wrong time. As in, wandering into, and thereby ruining, a completely different meme.

The Fry meme is for those situations where you suddenly become suspicious, but you're not sure if you should be, or you're just suspicious for no reason.

And explaining them both just made them less funny
