Ladies, don’t you vote for President Barack Obama this fall. He’s got a serious problem with women. Or so claims Gary Bauer, former head of the Christian Coalition. It seems he simply doesn’t value them, or their opinions.
Bauer lays it all out in a new op ed published in Politico. “[T]he candidates fare similarly on the question of who better understands women’s issues — with Obama at 42 percent and Romney at 40 percent. Most revealingly, though, 46 percent of women polled said that Romney better understands women’s issues. Only 41 percent said Obama better understands them….This president seems to prefer making symbolic and overtly political gestures to women rather than doing the hard work of addressing day-to-day dynamics in his workplace.”
Bauer’s evidence? A lack of enough high level women in his administration, and two books that insinuate the same.
Bauer’s claims that Obama doesn’t respect or value women, especially in the workplace, is ironic considering Bauer’s own role in a movement intent on keeping women in the home caring for children. Brauer once advocated the turn of the century beliefs of Theodore Roosevelt that “[It] is the tasks connected with the home that are the fundamental tasks of humanity. . . . if the mother does not do her duty, there will either be no next generation, or a next generation that is worse than none at all.”
Bauer states at the “war against women” rhetoric is just “Democrats’ way of diverting voters’ attention from their own failures and injustices toward women.” Sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black.
That's the best this idiot could come up with?
