Your stairway lies on the whispering wind Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I've heard that quite a few people (mainly fans of the original series) were either confused or disliked the movie because it's a different take on what the series was all about. Apparently the series was a serious show? This movie is obviously a play off of the show in a very light way. It'll be interesting.

It was like they couldn't decide how to present it, whether they wanted it to be melodramatic and soapy or funny and campy. One minute they would be making snappy puns and the next there would be an overly dramatic scene, complete with sweeping musical score and crashing waves, literally. Then it was back to fun and campy. And I still don't understand why they threw in the extra dramatic bit with the teen, either. I almost said "what the hell?" out loud in the theater, LOL. It just came right out of nowhere.

Posts: 8741 05/17/2012 3:48 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Yeah, I went and saw The Avengers again (4th or 5th time, can't remember) after seeing Dark Shadows. I had to go see a good movie so that I wasn't wasting my movie day on a crap one.
