Keifer Sutherland’s Fox drama Touch has been renewed for a second season, but has cancelled freshman drama Alcatraz.
Touch is getting another round at the network, despite relatively modest ratings for the show’s debut season. The drama is produced by Fox’s sister studio 20th Century Fox and the network has a long and strong relationship with star Sutherland from his days on 24.
Meanwhile, J.J. Abrams’ mystery thriller Alcatraz got the boot. Both the Touch renewal and the Alcatraz cancellation were largely expected. Still no word clear yet on Fox’s other freshman drama on the bubble, The Finder. Fox declined to comment on either move.
More to come …
