Tonight, NYC’s biggest annual fashion and celebrity event, the Met Costume Ball, will take place at theMetropolitan Museum of Art.
The gala benefit is the museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year. This year’s Honorary Chair is Jeff Bezos, along with Co-Chairs Carey Mulligan, Miuccia Prada, and Anna Wintour, while director Baz Luhrmann serves as Exhibition Creative Consultant with Nathan Crowley acting as the Production Designer.
As usual, all of the major fashion houses have invited celebrity guests to join them (and wear their clothes). Fans are usually able to watch celebrities arrive at the Met and the gala after-parties, one of which will be held atThe Standard Hotel, but if you aren’t’ in NYC, you can still watch the stars live on the red carpet. For the first time in the event’s history, red carpet arrivals will be live streamed from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on metmuseum.org, amazon.com/fashion, and vogue.com.
