The heavy metals thing has proven to be false. There is some that do have metals in it, but it is VERY little.

How can you say in one sentence it's proven to be false and in the other that there are fish that that do have metals in it? Then obviously it hasn't been proven false. As it cannot have been. The pollution of the seas is a pretty known fact. But of course there can be manufacturers of fish oil capsules that keep the level pretty low, or use fish from their own fish farms or whatever.

As to the other thing - it's true that the absorption rate (is that even a word?) from fish oil is better than that from plant based sources, but that doesn't mean we don't benefit from plant omega-3. That is simply false. There are so many different sources, that can be combined that also have added benefits, so don't overlook them when thinking about omega-3s.
