I like Tony Lucca. He has a good voice. It's just not one of those amazing, blow you away type voices. There are plenty of talented musicians who fall into that category, but they're still good. So to the crazies: I am in no way saying that Tony Lucca isn't talented, or that he has a shitty voice, because neither of those things are true. He just doesn't have a powerful, amazing voice.

Yes, that's my point. I was just trying to say it without mentioning the show.

In the comment I just posted I said the same thing you said, dear lady. I'm not knocking Tony Lucca. There is no problem. I like him.

I don't like him on the show. There, I said it.

He came in with all this hype surrounding him, and he's the least memorable to me always. I only know him from the show and not all this amazingness he supposedly has away from the show, but on the show he only comes off as average, at best.

I agree. He's not a good fit. I could see him being a successful musician, but he shouldn't be in a competition based on vocals. I think A LOT of people are voting for him because of the MMC thing.

Oh, and to add to that, I'm a HUGE Britney Spears fan, so there you go.

That alone is proof that I'm not saying there's an issue with him not having an incredible voice. He's a good musician/artist. Just not a strong vocalist. I don't think anyone, myself included, would say Britney is a great vocalist. But that doesn't mean she shouldn't be/isn't a good artist and performer.

I think people just want him to do well. He is a nice guy, talented, and many people have been following him for years and think he deserves the fame/ appreciation/ money/ album deal etc. He seems to be a genuine guy and he has worked hard.

I think it's obvious he isn't a huge powerful vocalist.

I want him to do well in his career too. I think he could have a successful musical career, and I wish him the best. Plus he seems like a nice guy. But the people who say he's the best vocalist are slightly delusional.

No one said "The Voice" had to be a powerhouse vocalist. I mean, Christina put a rapper on her team.

I didn't follow him after MMC, so my only frame of reference for him is the show, and I like him a lot (though Jamar was my favorite). I just watched his audition again, I thought he had such a great tone to his voice, so hey, maybe that's why people like him? I don't get why JJB has such a need to constantly express their dislike or ambivalence towards him.

They don't always seem to be looking for the person with the best voice - or else people wouldn't be so up in arms over Chris Mann getting though.

A lot of the more successful artists don't have the best voices.

I honestly don't think people are voting because of MMC. I do think that people who have followed him since then, and throughout his touring over the past decade, are really excited to support him. (Myself included.) I mean, coming into this he had half a million twitter followers already. Tony has had a big following for a long time, but needed this show to push through the glass ceiling. I don't think anyone's saying, "Oh I watched him on MMC 20 years ago I think I'll vote." lol He's toured for years upon years, released almost a dozen albums and EPs, so he's bound to have a big following.

I do agree that the show hasn't showcased the best of his voice. I really prefer Tony, an acoustic guitar, a hole in the wall bar, and his cover of Hallelujah

But naturally that's not what the show is about.

I had never heard of Tony until I saw him open for *NSYNC back in the day. So I don't have any of the MMC love that is so often associated with him.

(I didn't have cable as a kid. Never saw a single episode of MMC) I liked his performance the night of that concert and got into his music from there.

He is very talented, and I consider him one of my favorite artists. That being said, I haven't been super impressed with him on The Voice. I think part of that is because to me his performances aren't just him and a piano/guitar, which is the style that I think suits him best.

People have been kind of hating him for using the MMC thing to gain votes... but I say who can blame him? He's on a show that he wants to win, so do what you can to win.

I don't necessarily always equate powerhouse vocals with amazing voices, lots of times the most conventional powerhouse singers really turn me off and therefore I don't find myself gravitating to those artists. Not saying Tony has the best voice in the world or anything, just that what people think sounds amazing is so subjective. I think Tony has a great sound, but he's is not a powerhouse vocalist and that's fine.

Prior to The Voice I had never had of Tony Luca, now I can't un hear his name. As I have mentioned severally he is average and that is me being generous. His stans act as if he is a powerhouse who should not be critiqued. Hope he gets something out of this coz God forbid I do not want to see his face in another talent show
