Posts: 36295 05/02/2012 12:41 PM	This dog should be WITH professionals. Where did you adopt from? I find it hard to believe that a reputable facility would adopt out an abused, deaf dog who hasn't been fixed to inexperienced owners.

And I know I will get a lot of hate for this but I would take him back and tell them what you experienced. That dog doesn't sound like a good fit with your family.

We adopted from a family that my dad knows, because they're can't have pets where they're moving to.

Posts: 11429 05/02/2012 12:53 PM	When I was younger we adopted a dog from someone who was divorcing/moving and couldn't take the dog with her. She was husky/german shepherd and the first time I was home alone with her she went after me and cornered me. Afterward we found out that in the home she had before the husband had abused the wife and that's most likely why she was so timid and had such bad anxiety. She really really hated my dad and all men at first too, but she came around pretty quickly and then everything was okay. Good luck to you with your dog!

How can you guys afford professional help and vet bills? I don't understand! Someone from my office just took her cat in because she was just being a bit weird, and it cost her more than $1250 for tests and stuff.
