There is a Congresswoman named Cathy Mcmorris Rogers who stated there was no Republican war on women and that polls show that American women support their position on the "conscience clause".

In some cases, the vaginal ultrasound would be required before a woman who had miscarried could have a D&C to remove the dead fetus from her body. No medical association has said that there is any medical need for a vaginal ultrasound in that scenario, it's just a horrible torture to a woman who's already lost a child.

I think this one is a bit strange. I had to have one of these ultrasounds 10 years ago for a D&C and the only part that was remotely horrible was having to drink water to fill my bladder. But it was either that or a catheter. I would hardly consider it torture.

I wouldn't say it's torture either, but it's medically unnecessary (as far as I know) and just another step in trying to change the woman's mind.

I also don't understand the part "without the woman's consent" and comparing it to rape. Doctors/ultrasound techs are ordering these and forcing the woman down while they perform them?

The laws are trying to make it necessary, therefore allowing the STATE to shove a wand up your cooch for no medical reason.
