So, I was searching allofcraigslist.com and finally found something I have been searching for a while, made contact with the woman and she was willing to ship it to me. And I was super excited, I told her I'd offer her $100 when she asked for $75 to cover the shipping and just pay extra because I wanted it here as soon as possible. She was really nice and helpful.
She said she didn't have a paypal account and was afraid to use it because she said that paypal charges you if someone sends you money (which I don't remember that ever happening to me but I don't send people money often unless it's through Ebay, so I just said okay even though I didn't think she knew what she was talking about). I asked her how she wanted to be paid because clearly I was not going to send her cash. She did 'research' and wanted me to do Western Union or a money order. I said no to Western Union since they overcharge the heck out of you and I said a money order would be fine. Then some of the nice fades and the crazy begins with hatch out. She gets really nervous when it comes to the method of payment and debates with me back and forth before we settle on a money order.
Now I understand, people get ripped off on craigslist all the time but I found her a bit paranoid in all of her "research". But anyway, I got the money order, sent it to her. She messages me yesterday:
HER: U did NOT send a usps money order from the post office. i am sending the one u sent back.
If U want to send a correct one thats fine if not i will sell to someone else.
Me: ...why? What's wrong with it?
HER: It could bounce, you need to get one at the post office where they can be verified.
Me: Cash it, it will not bounce if the money is in your hands. I guess I don't get what you are worried about when you have my money. Shouldn't I be the one worried...?
HER: Nope bc im sending it back tom. Im not taking the chance.
Me: A chance of what? Why are you all freaked out? It is a money order. Of my money. How am I trying to screw you by sending you MY money????
HER: The bank said it looked fishy and they said if it bounces im charged.
Which I don't even believe because we got the money order at OUR bank, it's not like we bought it from the back of some guys' van. 
Too long story short she said she put it in the mail today and I'm just going to get her the USPS money order when I get it, but GOOD LORD, LADY.
I don't know what has happened to this woman or if she has watched too much TV that she doesn't realize she had the upper hand yesterday when she had my money in her hands, but she acted like I sent her freaking anthrax. I get being careful on Craigslist but I think we're being a little paranoid...
This is one of the reasons why I don't do craigslist very often, people are batshit crazy.
