I haven't played Sims3 in a few months and haven't downloaded any custom content or anything really (no movies, music, etc). I just went to play and the computer wouldn't read the disc, it kept making that noise as if it were trying to read it. The noise went on for several minutes and not even the disc eject button would work. I waited and tried it again with some success, but once the Sims3 started loading everything it started making the reading noise again and went no further. A message saying there was no disc in the drive appeard and again, the eject button wouldn't work at first.
I'm going to try it again and hope it works but I know it shouldn't be doing this. Any ideas why?
