I have a Gateway laptop that is two years old. I recently had to replace the battery because I was getting the "you need to replace the battery" message a lot. This was just about a week or so ago now. Well today, I went to go unplug it so I could carry the laptop into another room to use it. Within minutes the computer shut off which confused me as I knew it had been plugged in so it should have been all charged up. When I turned it back on after plugging it back in, I noticed that while it registered that it was plugged in, the battery wasn't being charged. It says, " plugged in, not charging." What could be causing this? I know that laptops aren't meant to last long, but this is ridiculous.
