Alrighty - as for Tyler, when Klaus inhabited Alarics body, Alaric wasn't dead (or was that Elijah? lol either way). So i think Tyler is still very much alive and is just being held hostage in his own body.

Also, the entire thing where Klaus dies and they all die.. eer.. so ALL the vampires in the world who can be traced back to him will die? I find it odd that hasn't been mentioned

About friggen time with Elena 'choosing' although we all know she'll continue to flip-flop.

I was crying when Ric was saying goodbye to Jeremy. sadness.
Also, maybe I'm just slow but I totally did not see that ending coming. I knew she was going to eventually turn but didn't think it'd be this soon!
And holy Breaking Dawn ripoff, Batman! The endings were identical.

I don't think Klaus's body was that damaged. It was a little fire and it didn't even engulf his face. I think they'll find a way to put him back in his body.

I'm not sure I get what you are saying here. The whole bloodline thing has been mentioned for the last few episodes. The brothers been trying to find who was the start of their bloodline for a few episodes now. In the last episode Klaus casually says he was their maker but they didn't know whether to believe him or not. So basically at this point they didn't want any of the originals dead.

I'm glad I'm not the only one pissed about that, lol. I absolutely hate the idea of Klaus getting with Caroline by using Tyler's body. It's just gross, and like someone else said, hopefully Bonnie will warn her before that happens.

I really hope you're right. I love him and Caroline. Every time they get reunited, it lasts about half an episode before disaster strikes and pulls them apart again. It's annoying. At least give me 2 or 3 episodes with them just being happy together.

The thought of Klaus inhabiting his body also annoys me b/c he finally broke free from the sire bond, only to have Klaus controlling him completely. Ugh!

Hopefully Caroline's too smart for Klaus to fool her for long, if he tries that. Though you'd think the body would have to survive too, given that blood lines are much more a thing of the body than soul.

Anyway, I expected Elena to be vamped sooner or later but not in that fashion. Damon did break my heart this episode

After reading some articles where Julie Plec was interviewed it looks like the Tyler/Klaus thing is similar to the Alaric/Klaus thing so don't think Tyler is gone for good. Also there's hints we haven't seen the last of real Klaus.

Also apparently Klaus had already taken over Tylers body when, Caroline found him in the cellar. That was all Klaus talking about having a beautiful future.

And Julie says that Stefan knew Elena had vampire blood in her system even though they didn't show that on screen at the end, only w/ Damon.

From what Julie's saying I wonder if Bonnie managed to save Klaus's body too.

On a different note... have to say the more I think about it, the more annoyed I am with that Delena flashback. Firstly because Damon was out of character for how he was in Season One, but mostly because I think it really cheapened the whole choice/emotional impact. The speech Elena made in the car made sense - she really feels for Damon and there's potential in it, but Stefan came into her life at an important time and something deep got forged which hasn't been broken, and she had a lot longer to really connect to Stefan before she started to do the same with Damon. That's why (for now at least) Stefan's the right choice. That to me was a very good, in character explanation.

The second they paired it with that obvious attempt to go "hey, the triangle's not over yet" they made it sound like she's just the kind of fickle idiot who was basing it all on who she phsyically clapped eyes on first, not on who she really got to know. Which to me does a disservice to both Stelena and Delena. I often feel like the writers are more trying to keep both sets of fans happy than to really keep up good characterisation and it bugs me.

Well we never saw Klaus body completely burn up like the other originals who were killed so I'm guessing there was a reason too that.

I've seen so many fans seem pissed at the finale. Honestly I don't think it had a happen ending for either Stelena or Delena fans. I've seen Stelena fans mad at the flashback scene. Then Delena fans not happy with the choice she made. It really wasn't a win/win.

I think for me it just could have done with a less "smack you round the head" way of leaving Delena open. I think Delena does need to stay an open possibility, there is too much there for her to just pick one and be done with it, but they need to stop living in fear of pissing one set of fans off. You cannot keep both happy

here's what i don't get about damon (and delena)- if damon wants elena so bad and loves her so much, WHY is he so content to let her hate him as long as she's alive? does he want to torture himself THAT MUCH? does he hate himself THAT MUCH that'd he'd rather watch her be happy with anyone but him as long as he's alive? what i hate about their dynamic is how he treats her like a incompetent child. she's not the brightest tool in the box, but that's why i wouldn't date her. i don't understand how he thinks so little of her but yet wants to be with her. it makes no sense. he's also being a hypocrite wanting to force her to live a life she doesn't want. its exactly what stefan did to him and he hates him for it, so why turn around and do it to elena?

stefan loves elena more than he loves himself. he will do anything for her. he loves her unconditionally and that's why he will always be better for her.

i agree with all of this. i felt like the flashback was kind of pointless. it shouldn't even matter that she actually met damon first b/c as you mentioned, she also said it was about stefan coming into her life at a point when she needed someone. even if she realizes she actually met damon before stefan, it still doesn't change the fact that stefan helped her through a difficult time, which i think is a lot more important than who she first locked eyes with.

It really was, the rest of the episode was good but nothing to write home about.

But like another poster mentioned I don't think all of Damon's emotions have to do with Ric dying but the knowledge that if he was dead so was Elena.

My heart broke for Damon in that scene. He'd already lost Ric as he knew him so I think it was probably a smidge more about Elena, but that whole thing really was a double blow for him and I think Ian did so well with it.

here's what i don't get about damon (and delena)- if damon wants elena so bad and loves her so much, WHY is he so content to let her hate him as long as she's alive? does he want to torture himself THAT MUCH? does he hate himself THAT MUCH that'd he'd rather watch her be happy with anyone but him as long as he's alive?

It's not about Damon hating himself or wanting to cause himself pain. It's the way he feels for Elena - her safety is paramount to him and he will if necessary sacrifice being in her good books to ensure it.

Which is not an endorsement of the overall way he treats Elena, I find the fact that his constant reaction to disagreeing with her is trying to override her will problematic, but his willingness to put her first even if it costs him is not inherently a bad thing - he just takes it too far. In that respect I'd say the perfect balance would be somewhere between Damon and Stefan, who on the flip side could sometimes do more with being willing to go against Elena's opinion. Her constant tendency to rush in and self-sacrifice often gets the rest of them in danger and while I wouldn't want Stefan to lose the respect he has for her free will, sometimes he ought to stand up to her a bit more about it.

I was sad when Damon reacted to Ric dying. I'm sure he appreciated Ric as a friend, but he was more sad that Elena died as a result.

I was sad when Tyler was (? ) dying and told Caroline to leave. I didn't want him to die, even though i don't like the character too much.

My sis says that if Elena is a vampire then it's the end of the doppelgangers so i guess no more hybrids, so Klaus doesn't need her anymore and he can just stake her (theoretically.)

But I don't get what Bonnie said, why did she swap bodies?

In terms of Stefan or Damon, I'm undecided. I think they're both good for Elena for different reasons.

Bonnie swapped bodies to save her friends and mom that were vampires under the Klaus bloodline. If Klaus truly was killed they all would be dead soon after too. Though I don't think she did it for Damon or Stefan.

I do agree with Stefan needs to rationalize more w/ Elena instead of letting her make the decisions. He can at least discuss the outcomes her choices will have but no he just lets her make the call even if he know it's wrong. Damon also does take it a little to extreme always disagreeing w/ Elena's choice are making the decisions for her. I get why but he needs to tone it down a little.

Cried for like the entire episode again. I can't believe Elena will be a vampire now, but I think I like it. Had to happen sooner or later. The only thing I'm really pissed at is Alaric dying. I've said it before, but he was my favourite character, so a big fuck you to the writers for turning him evil and killing him off.

My big hope is that with Elena being a vampire, the evil vampire Alaric dies and super awesome human Alaric can go on living.
