Everyone if you're going to be praying, just please include my mom and I in yours because we really really need to find a buyer for our co-op as soon as possible. The back story is long and complicated but we've been fighting our HOA with the NYS Division of Human Rights because my mom's cardiologist recommended and prescribed her to have a dog around 24/7 as a medical companion when they noticed an improvement in her health after she was around Lola so I moved back home with Lola (I got Lola when I moved out). There's an FHA law that provides for this situation and says that landlords and HOA's need to provide reasonable accommodation and revise their no pet policy for those who are disabled if it is deemed necessary. There is already another dog in the building, but our HOA does not want to allow ours so we've been fighting for 8 months in court. They've been trying to evict us (even though we own the co-op) and we've been suing them for discrimination.
ANYWAY, it's been taking a toll on my mom's health and at this point we've decided to leave and that was why we decided to move to Florida. We still have legal issues pending and it would be best if we could get a buyer as soon as possible because we need to make sure we get this sold and the money from this to buy a house in Orlando. Human Rights is working to prosecute the HOA for the discrimination but the co-op's attorney is going to try to appeal with some nonsense to the supreme court or whatever. They have been playing a grossly under handed and vile game since the very beginning, they took away our parking spot even though we're both disabled tag holders, sent multiple threatening letters, tried black mailing my mom's cardiologist, etc. We just want to get this thing SOLD! Please just keep us in your thoughts/prayers tonight. We've been praying to Saint Joseph every night!
