Showtime is developing the sci fi drama "Syns" with "Supernatural" supervising producer/writer Sera Gamble and "Jericho" consulting producer John McNamara, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Syns," formerly known as "Dolls' Hospital," is set in a world where the Syns, humanlike synthetic beings much like the replicants in "Blade Runner," are used for various purposes. The project was originally developed by Stephen Volk for the BBC, but Showtime bought the U.S. rights to the project. Gamble, who is writing the script, will team up with McNamara as co-creator/executive producers.

The celeb shooter wascovering the Milkshop.com Winter Wonderland charity event at 5th & SunsetStudios when he came across Jared Padalecki and this poorlittle pooch. Despite the label you'll find on these photos, DiMaio says Jaredwasn't actually at the studio for the Milkshop event, (I was curious becauseall of the other photos featured stars with their young children) which makesme wonder why he was there? Maybe filming a PSA for pound puppies? As for that "other"Padalecki pic that surfaced over the weekend - the one where he's channelingthe Incredible Hulk on the set of Friday the 13th? I choose to ignorethat one and focus on how healthy and fabulous he looks in these shots.

there are five new photos, but technically two of them were previously released via Entertainment Weekly. Here are two of the three fresh pics which include

In a very rare but exciting move, Warner Brothers has debuted the Watchmen footage that fans were shown at Comic-Con in July on iTunes for your viewing pleasure. If you recall, this footage is part of reason why I ranked the Watchmen panel as the best panel from this year's Comic-Con. "The five-minute extended trailer we saw was truly breathtaking, even more than the first trailer." It may not exactly be in true high def, but anyone very excited for Watchmen needs to check this out right away. All you need to do is head to iTunes and download the item labeled "Exclusive Clip - Watchmen: Comic Con 2008 Preview". Enjoy! Zack Snyder had to edit it out some of the more violent scenes and the nudity, so this is a tad bit shorter than the actual footage, but who cares, you'll still see a lot of the same footage that we saw. Watching this again now, I still get shivers hearing the song and seeing it all play out. For those curious, the music is contemporary remix of Philip Glass' "Koyaanisqatsi" song. Like the original teaser trailer, there is no actual dialogue, this is just a composition of slow motion shots and some action scenes, which might turn off a few viewers. Word on the street is that the 3D in this Patrick Lussier directed film is incredible, adding depth and details into the film without making it "gimmicky". In the film Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders.

Leaders of the Screen Actors Guild plan to hold an emergency meeting after the union's New York board came out against holding a strike authorization vote. The guild plans to send out ballots Jan. 2 to its 100,000 members, asking for them to give union leaders permission to call a strike. Votes will be tabulated by Jan. 23. But the statement by the New York Division Board of Directors, calling for their union to halt the vote, is the latest obstacle to a possible strike. Many actors are hesitant to hold a strike during a recession, and the the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents the studios, is appealing directly to actors to vote against strike authorization. An advertisement the group purchased to run Monday in Variety and The Hollywood Reporter challenges statements by SAG president Alan Rosenberg and argues that actors' benefits will increase significantly under the studios' latest contract offer. The New York board has 14 of the 71 representatives on SAG's national board. They asked for an emergency meeting of that board to appoint new negotiators in the hopes of salvaging talks with the studios. In a statement, Rosenberg agreed to a national meeting - but not for the purpose the New York board requested. He said it would address "the ramifications of this extraordinarily destructive and subversive action," noting that the New York board had supported the idea of a strike in October. A strike would affect shows covered by SAG - mostly expensive, filmed series like Lost. Taped shows, such as Gary Unmarried, Rules of Engagement, and 90210 are covered by another union, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. That union, which also includes 44,000 people who also belong to SAG, has already accepted a contract similar to the one studios are offering SAG. The strike would deal another blow to the entertainment industry within a year of the writers strike that sidelined the 2007-08 television season. One estimate placed the economic impact of the three-month strike, which was resolved in February, at $2.5 billion. AMPTRA estimates actors would lose $2.5 million a day by striking. Working actors - those who make most of their income from film and TV - account for just about 10 percent of SAG members. The rest earn less than $28,000 a year from acting work, but many work in side jobs that could also be affected by the strike. Actors who have spoken out against a strike include Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, M*A*S*H star Mike Farrell, and former SAG president Richard Masur. Since Joining the writing team for the hit CW/Warner Brothers television show Supernatural, Jeremy Carver has written some of the most pivotal episodes of the series. Episodes like season three's Mystery Spot and A Very Supernatural Christmas which have delved into the deep connections that Sam and Dean Winchester have with each other as brothers and with their destinies as 'hunters' in the world of monsters, urban legends and demons. Re4 means Resident Evil 4 a.k.a Biohazard 4 video game.
By the way. I heard a news few months ago that Jensen is going to play the character of Leon.S.kennedy in Resident Evil 4 the movie.Is that true? Does anybody have any information about it? Oh I wish he would be.Cuz he is the only person who's suit for that character.

TV Guide Is What??
You folks remember that just a couple days ago we were excited about TV Guide online naming Supernatural one of the best shows of 2008? Well, I was just looking over the schedule grid of my print edition for the Dec. 22 issue and have discovered that TV Guide has dropped The CW from their schedule grid altogether, as if the network doesn't exist. How are viewers using the print edition supposed to find the show if the entire network isn't even listed? I can't believe it! And does this mean no more print edition articles, highlights, photos about SPN to appear in the print magazine? So I called the subscriber services toll free number and was told this is part of the "editorial changes" that the magazine is making. I asked if I can register an opinion about the change and was told yes because they want to know what subscribers think, and my negative opinion would be registered. If you're a print edition subscriber and are concerned about SPN getting even less publicity, please give them a call.
