Ask a parent who has a developmentally delayed child if they ever laugh at their child. If they didn't, they'd be depressed or go crazy. I didn't see the OP say "what a retard" or anything derogatory, she was laughing at the situation and what he wrote.

He was joking around making us laugh. Second of all, I never once said he was pathetic so don't put words into my mouth.
