Interesting. My sister read the series and she's very amped about it. I never read the books, so it' s a little hard to keep up with the lore of the story.

The savage dude with the blue paint is sexy as hell. Uhm what kind of culture just f**ks their women in front of everyone.

Will keep watching, though.

Loved the premiere. It's a really well cast series. It just needed more Daenerys and Drogo (though I wasn't thrilled with how they changed their last scene).

Things I appreciated more than other similar series: The effects are good, if not great, they look almost real, while many "epic series" that I watch have a fake-ness about them. This includes the sets. The cast is great, too. I must say that I hope Peter Dinklage steps it up, though, cause the character he plays has a lot of quirks, and I know he can do better. I know that some are complaining about the unnecessary graphic nature of the series, but I strongly believe it helps tell the story and depict the culture. As I have read the books, you may say I'm rather partial, but believe me, I have hated shows and movies based on books I've loved. Basically, I want to tell the series to get out of my head, cause I love it, and will continue watching.

I really enjoyed the first episode. When I first saw the twin brother and sister I automatically thought they are beautiful and should be together. However, then they said they were siblings.... I didn't think that would actually happen wow.

Those Zombie things in the beginning scared me. (White walkers?)

I wasn't expecting the blonde brother to push that boy out of the window. So I guess we aren't going to like this family.

That guy who is supposed to be king. What a dick. I feel so bad for his sister.

Can someone explain to me what winter is coming means?

Lots of hot guys in this. All of Neds boys are hot. Jon Snow and the other older one.

Obviously I haven't read the books.

"Winter is coming" is Stark House motto or words. And in the North winter lasts for years.

You should read the books, they are amazing.

I really liked first episode, Wall is great, casting is phenomenal. My only complain is that we didn't see puppy direwolves enough. happysmurf

Game Of Thrones

After just one episode, HBO has announced plans to pick up a second season of Game of Thrones after its initial, 10-episode run is complete. Whether two seasons can even scratch the surface of George R. R. Martin's beyond-epic A Song of Ice and Fire book series remains to be seen, but it should be fun (and complex!) watching them try.

"We are delighted by the way David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have brought George R. R. Martin's amazing book series to the screen, and thrilled by the support of the media and our viewers," said HBO's Michael Lombardo in a statement.

The premiere episode of the critically acclaimed, Internet-dissected series delivered a decent 4.2 million viewers over its first three airings.

Great to hear that there'll be a second season. I'm excited but also dreading it. I'm almost through the 1st book and it's killing me. Does no one catch a break in this series? Can't imagine what will happen in book 2.

Watched the premiere as well. Big fan of Sean Bean, Mark Addy, and Jason Momoa. Never read any of the books and have just ordered them. I'm a huge LOTR fan and it was like watching LOTR with sex and i found it awesome. Next time i want some male nudity!!!

The tone of the scene was very harsh and they cut away way too quickly. I'm not sure where the 2nd episode will start so...

The scene in the book was much more gentler and he was kissing her all over. She answered yes the last time he asked No? I thought it was a sweet moment between them and a little ray of hope for her that she wasn't given to an unfeeling barbarian
