Has anyone thats met JC recently noticed if he's wearing the LEO necklace? I thought of that tonight in bed and mentioned it to my roommate who then fell out of bed in excitement to look at our photos but his damn skull scarf hides his pretty neck.

it's not that i liked it i was just wondering where it went coz he would never take it off coz he said it just didn't 'feel right' or something.. it's kindda weired that he took it off and has never worn it again esp after new years...

He hasn't worn it for ages. I think he said in an interview that he wanted a change for the new album and he just cut it off. He also said he still has it. Someone with a better memory will probably have more info on what he actually said.

banjo is right it was a radio interview he did, and he said it was time to take it off. He still has it but he doesnt wear it anymore.

One of the last appearances of the Leo necklace was his 30th birthday party. I kinda want him to put it back on.

I thought he siad it got riped from his neck by a fan. So that is why he dosen't wear it anymore.

Here is the explanation from the interview on WSTW 1/30/07 courtesy of voxchasez.com.

A-Game: And she goes: Agame, if you could ask JC - and a couple of fans would like to know this - what happened to his infamous Leo pendant that he used to wear until recently last year?

JC: I cut it off this summer. I've been wearing it for over ten years, maybe even fifteen.

A-Game: Wow.

JC: And I went to do my photo shoot for this album, I was shooting it right around…at the end of summer, and I'd just finished taking all those and I was like, "You know what?" It was just time. I'd been wearing it and it had been something…it's still dear to me and I still have it, but it was actually kind of significant to me for, this is a new record, this is a new me, you know. I cut my hair off after…because I had long hair for the last record…

A-Game: Right.

JC: …and you know, I've had it short for a little while, but that was kind of like the last thing. It was kind of like, all right, it's a new me. I wanted to approach everything with a fresh point of view. And it's something even that small, to me, when I looked in the mirror everyday it was always there, and now it's something different to me.

A-Game: Mm hm.

JC: And change is a good thing, you know.

A-Game: Absolutely.

JC: So uh, just something that small, believe it or not, was like one of those things. It was like, "Aaahhh. It's fresh and new!"

A-Game: [Laughs]

JC: So uh, yeah. I cut it off some time in August.
