As far as I know he put about $1500 into car repairs and he also had to reinstate his insurance which was a fee of $900 because of previous early termination. The car that he was driving before, he was under his friend's insurance, and then he switched back to his and had to pay the cancellation fee. The rest, he's bought groceries, cell phone bills and it was my birthday 3 weeks ago and he did buy me a pretty good present. Like I said, I don't comb through his bills nor do I look into his bank account. The ex boyfriend thing is a super complicated story that happened about a a year and a half ago. It really changed the way I saw my parents and caused a huge rift in our relationship. I was left feeling really upset after I found out they moved him in and still don't understand why they did it. But that's a huge story that I don't want to druge up because I'm still pretty hurt about it.
Why is a grown-ass man insured under his friend, and not his own, at first? and why was his previous insurance terminated early? and how did you meet this guy, since it was a long distance relationship at first for a year?
as for the parents issue...if you broke up a year and a half ago, and have known this guy for over a year before moving in, and have lived together for a few months, it sounds like you jumped from one shitty relationship to another. not exactly a sign of independence. not to mention, you're parents did something that upset you, but you're willing to look the other way to get a degree that you could get from other means financially? i don't understand that.
