The apartment is mine, he's living here rent free since I've got a 1 bedroom place all to myself and the lease says just one occupant living here, so that's why I was givien only one set of keys for the place.

Why dont you guys just make your own set of keys? People make extras even if they live alone to give to a family member or friend in case of an emergency.

Any longer than that and it's kind of a "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" situation.

So, you:- moved to another country to be with him;- are his own personal driver, dropping him off and picking him up at school;- let him stay with you rent-free;- do the laundry, clean up after him;- gave him money to fix his car.And he... sometimes pays for dinner. When he has cash on him.You are being used. Do something about it if you want it to stop; otherwise, continue to be a doormat.

I'm a pretty independent person but since I've been here (especially since I'm seperated from my family and friends by distance) it doesn't seem like it. I apperciate the feedback though, I needed to get this all out

Well I can see why you are getting angry but maybe you should have thought twice before moving somewhere mostly to be with a guy that is a bit of a deadbeat. And I can't believe you even invited him to move in rent free in an apartment that your parents are footing the bill for. I'd be livid if I was them! Paying for my daughters apartment so she can let some deadbeat move in and on top of it she cleans for him, cooks for him, and drives his lazy ass to work. Grow up and see this boy for exactly who he is.You better be laying down some ground rules pretty damn quick and tell him there is going to be some changes and the first one should be that he's paying half the rent and utilities starting now. And what the heck is he doing with all his money if he's not paying rent nor can he even afford to fix his card? SOmethings missing from your story.
