2012 Sherlock Series 2 has begun!

Awesome, awesome series and fantastically awesome portrayal by Benedict Cumberbatch. He's been awesome forever, so I'm glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. ETA: Apparently awesome is the operative word of choice.

Posts: 406 11/15/2010 11:29 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	9 p.m. this past Sunday just wasn't the same with no Sherlock I was bereft. What a wonderful series that was. Amazing writing, cast, location, direction. Isn't it amazing to be riveted by three episodes when entire seasons of other shows can't gain traction on my attention? I re-watched the first episode last night online on PBS.

Unlike that Hollywood slop with Robert Downey Jr. (wonderful as he is, he isn't Sherlock Holmes).

Honestly when i first heard about Moffatt's plans of making a modern twist, i thought holy crap, they're gonna bugger that up! I mean, seriously, back then, i thought how would all that translate without losing the story and its essence? Then we all got a wonderul surprise! I love how they modernized it like Watson blogging. . How ingenious! Random Sandwiches, thanks for the Craig heads up!! I am sooo gonna watch that!! Did he do one when Tennant was on? Btw, that show with a young Hugh Laurie and much younger Benedict is called Fortysomethings---i caught it last week! Found it by accident and omg, it is honestly the best crime & mystery show I've seen in a long while. I loved everything about it from the actors (LOVE Martin Freeman and Cumberbatch's interpretation of Sherlock) to the setting locations and the directing. Can't wait until the second season airs. I do agree that it sucks that there are only 3 episodes.

It had a lot of very similar things to the re-shot first episode, but it was also a little cheaper looking, and shorter. Oh, and I'm officially kind of in love with Benedict. Sort of. Maybe. sigh

Right now, I'm consoling myself with the hilarious Doc Martin. Anyone seen this? It's kinda like House but funny and set in gorgeous Cornwall.

I started watching it on PBS and tried watching it on Hulu and like you said, you have to register. It boggles my mind that Hulu considers it for mature audiences when PBS was playing it on Saturdays 7pm Central, . It's like, "huh???", lol. Thank God for youtube!

Yeah, I think I read that Martin made sure that accommodations would be made for him to be able to do both. Besides, Sherlock isn't like Being Human where Aidan has to shoot more than 3 episodes. Ben is back to black hair, and Martin looks quite tan. Btw, I sure hope we DO get MORE than 3 Sherlock episodes this time, Nope, just three 90 minutes episodes like before, unfortunately. But since they are doing (to quote Steven Moffat) the three most famous stories - Adler, Hound and Reichenbach, and "The Final Problem" (Reichenbach) ends in such a terrible way, it should be another cliffhanger, which means there has to be a season three to resolve it, don't you think?
