2012 Sherlock Series 2 has begun!

Posts: 20825 04/29/2012 11:09 AM Keep Calm and STFU Zombpocalypse Ready Faster than a locomotive '12 Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I don't know if it's already been mentioned in this thread (forgive me, I'm too lazy to search and my memory is shot), but they're going to be reairing both versions of Frankenstein in various cities across the world in June (in more areas than they did the first time around). I had to drive to a different city to see it the first time, but now they're going to show it in my area. Also, as much as I LOVE Martin, I kind of want Andrew to take it. His Moriarty was fantastic, and given the finale, this may be his last chance to be recognized for it!

I'm not a Trekkie or a fanatic, but I grew up watching every series and movie because of my dad being a huge fanboy. I liked a couple of the shows, but I always found Stars Wars better.

Yeah I want Martin to win this because well fuck me he wins Baftas, that's what he does, but I know he's gonna get loads of attention once The Hobbit comes out so I think it should be Andrew winning this time. Performance-wise they both did a great job this season.

Posts: 6072 04/29/2012 2:47 PM High-Functioning Sociopath Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I've decided Andrew and Ben should win. If they can pull off the YouTube Audience Award, it will be a coup. I was a big fan of Star Trek TNG and have seen most of the films. I wouldn't mind if they slipped some TNG characters in there, or, you know, distant ancestors of TNG characters in there, seeing as how TNG took place 300 years after the original series. Everyone go see Frankenstein if you can! I'm excited I'm finally going to see Ben as Dr. Frankenstein! (And secretly hoping someone will be super sneaky and film it and put it on the InterWebs, as the DVD will probably never happen, although a documentary will air on one of the BBCs this summer.)

Not sure what you mean by that but Ben was actually nominated last year along with Matt Smith of Doctor Who. I remember being so excited because I love them both and it was the first Bafta nomination for a Doctor. I rooted for both but alas, Daniel Rigby won. It wouldn't have hurt so much if Jim Broadbent won because I found him amazing in Any Human Heart.

Posts: 9308 04/29/2012 7:42 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I can't really call myself a Trekkie but I really enjoyed the Patrick Stewart days---I tried to catch those episodes often. As for the original, I really liked Leonard Nimoy. I enjoyed the latest movie; it helped that i was a big fan of Sylar(Zach Quinto) and of course JJ Abrams then after the movie, ended up crushing on Chris Pine, . I was already fan-girl-ing seeing the smackdown between Spock and whatever Ben's character is. Can't wait for it to come out.

I love that he's not bothered by fan fic and thinks it's cool (or at least is a good enough actor to make us believe it doesn't bother him). I'm not buying the Star Trek quiz. How can he know "Mork & Mindy" and know nothing about Star Trek? I think he was just playing coy lest he accidentally reveal something he shouldn't, because word is there's Klingons galore in Star Trek 2. They should have asked him if he knew what Tribbles are. I'd have kicked his ass through the computer screen if he said no!
