I'm going to apply for this grad school scholarship and one of the questions is asking if I have any outstanding academic loans. The word "outstanding" is throwing me off because I always think it's a negative thing when it's referring to loans and stuff. I do have undergrad loans, but they're in deferrment and will continue to be until I finish grad school, so they're not in default or anything. Is it just asking if I already have loans, or what?
