A Beijing DIY artist is creating Lady Gaga-inspired dolls. Stephanie Pappas It’s no question that the elaborate and exotic styles of Lady Gaga have taken the fashion world by storm. So what better way to transform a fashion icon into a timeless treasure than to make her into quite possibly the most widely-recognized fashion symbol in the world: a Barbie doll! Thanks to Beijing-based artist Veik, the most infamous and outlandish looks of Lady Gaga have been miniaturized and turned into Lady Gaga Barbie dolls, reports pipeline.com. “Just look at her in those amazing wigs, makeup, and outfits!” Veik says. “I was thinking it would be fun to make those wigs for dolls, and that a Lady Gaga doll must be interesting.” And these dolls sure are detailed to say the least. According to flavorwire.com, the 29-year-old DIY doll creator says he pays close attention to her, and that every detail from her music, clothes, glasses and makeup makes him love her more and more. Veik isn’t stopping anytime soon, admitting that his favorite Lady Gaga outfit, from the “Bad Romance” video, has yet to be created. “She wore a white rat on her head. I used to be afraid of rats and thought them disgusting, but when she wore it I thought, ‘Wow, it’s really cool!’” he said. “So I’m planning to create that look for my dolls now. I even want a rat for my own head. It’s so funny, I no longer fear rats, and when I see one, I think ‘Wow, rats look so fashion, so cool.’”
