Are there places that will
pick it up for you?
How would you get rid of an old broken big screen TV?

I don't know what to do with it.

Take it to the dump in your town.
That's what my Aunt and Uncle had to do. |

We have a bulky broken 32 inch in our spare room. We will eventually get it to the dump.

around until the next time someone comes over, like a brother or something. I want it moved RIGHT NOW. So I just do it myself, then regret it.

On ebay you can list something as pick up only so that the buyer has to come remove it. Unless you live in a big city though, don't expect a broken tv to
sell for pick up only.

Meh, I don't live in a big city. I'm thinking maybe there are places that recycle electronics for a certain fee, if I can just get it there. I might
end up having to do that.

Craigslist
Freecycle group on yahoo is you want to give it away for free Best Buy accepts 'some' electronics including tv's for trade-in. But they are fairly picky about the age and condition. But I'm not really sure about the exact details of the program. |

Around here we have to bring them to an electronics recycling depot, no electronics go to the dump.

Call your trash service.. I think mine picks up stuff like that for a fee.

When you say broken, what do you mean?
If it doesn't work or turn on then craiglist or freecycle could be your best choice. Just put what's wrong with it and say something like. "Perhaps you can get it to work" Or "Could be used for parts." If it's something like a broken tube or it's just way beyond anyone's ability to fix it then junking it is your likely best choice. |

Wow it's more than I thought.
https://request.1800gotjunk.com/webclient/Forms/wfPriceList.aspx I guess they are best for tons of little things. Like if you are a hoarder. |

We would just leave something like that at the curb. If it's still there when the garbage is picked up the town will come and get it and dispose of it for
us. It doesn't go with the regular garbage but gets picked up later in the day.

We usually leave stuff on the curb. Someone will come by and pick it up.
