Preview for next week...they're not ruining it by making Eric the bad guy, are they?

I think they are just looking for a reason for Sookie and Bill to break up without making Bill be the bad guy. They are so boring now.

Bills just moody. Eric is devious.

But Bill IS the bad guy, he IS supposed to be the reason they break up! They're ruining everything!

I want them to break up, I just don't want it to be Eric's fault.

They're so boring as a couple. Last season, they were so much better. I don't know what happened.

I don't think they're going to be sticking to the books at all regarding Bill and Lorena. For one thing she wasn't Bill's maker in the books.
I also think that in the books it wasn't necessarily that Bill was the "bad guy" but rather that he messed up. But back to the show: I think Sookie and Bill will be somewhat on again/ off again as the show goes on. Alan Ball has said that he sees Bill as more of a "hero" in the show than he was in the books. That said I don't think Eric is going to be a villain. More like morally ambiguous. I didn't get the impression that he had much to do with Lorena coming after Bill, based on the preview |

The new article in Entertainment Weekly gave some small spoilers in it and concerning Bill and Sookie they might make it very interesting between them. But I
thought this past episode was a little lackluster. I'm more intrigued with the Sam/Tara/Maryann/Daphne stuff. Daphne still has that damn scar on her back
and Sam still hasn't asked about it! It bugs me so, like before you fuck someone you might wanna be so what's up with that thing on your back.
They're just all 'Nice rack...' 'Yeah nice balls.'

Regardless Bill's "making" is never really gone into in the books the way it is on the show. As for the show, I can see Lorena causing some...tension, shall we say in the Bill/Sookie relationship. I just don't expect it to lead to his disappearance from the show in the way that it did from the books. |

That when vamipres hook up with other vampires they are linked through eternity (which is why it's so rare that it happens) which is why he came when she called. I just don't remember them saying that she was his maker. The whole Lorena incident was absolutely a big deal in the books but it was more ofd a big deal because of the reprecussions to Sookie and Bill than because of Lorena herself - she's disposed of fairly quickly. On the show I can see the Lorena thing having represcussion on the Sookie and Bill relationship as well. But I don't think it will result in Bill's absence from the show in the way that he sort of disappeared from the books. I think Alan Ball is creating the show's Bill as a sort of tortured hero archetype. I think that regardless of whether or not he stays with Sookie he's not leaving the show. |

No, they definitely said that Lorena was his maker.
Sorry. Had to butt in there for a second

Yeah I remember in the books that Lorena was his maker and he went because of that reason. They made some reference somewhere about Pam not always being with
Eric, but when he called her for help with Fangtasia she came back right away and hadnt left again.
But I can see them keeping the story line for book 3. They will just show more of the bill being tortured and what not. They can do book three and still keep Bill, they would just have to make up all the stuff since the book never mentions details. |
