credit to Celebrity Baby Blog for this one..Say hello to Carnie Wilson's precious one-month-old daughter Luciana Bella.
In the upcoming issue of Life & Style, the randiant mom - who has famously struggled with her weight - chats about how her little bundle of joy was more than worth the 60 pounds she packed on while expecting.
"People gain weight when they have a baby, and someone like me, I gain more weight than I want to," she says. "I'm not hiding that. I'm not ashamed of that."
Rather than immediately hit the gym, what is Carnie doing? Enjoying time with her growing family, which also includes her musican hubby Rob Bonfiglio and their 4-year-old daughter Lola Sofia.
Carnie plans to begin shedding her baby weight in early September. But until then, she's committed to being a full-time mom. "Rob can help change diapers and help with some bottle-feedings, but he's kind of leaving it up to me," she says. "For the first month, it really is 'mommy time,' and Rob lies low. After that, the baby's not as fragile."
And while she experienced post-partum depression after the birth of her first child, Carnie says she's experiencing less anxiety with her second newborn because she knows what to expect now. "If the baby cries, she's either hungry or has gas or a wet diaper, and that's it," she says. "It changes every month, and I just know that so far it's been a lot easier on my mind."
Of the 60 lbs she gained during pregnancy, Carnie says she's lost already lost 25 lbs by breast-feeding every 3-4 hours and drinking more than 2 liters of water a day. Her goal? To get back into her size 8 jeans. "Now I think I'm reaching a point where it's slowed down and the hard work is going to come in," she says. "My goal is to be somewhere between 150 and 160 pounds."
