Posts: 71 (07/04/2009 12:11 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	I can not believe more people aren't reporting on this.� Martin Bashir spent 8 months with Michael Jackson and his documentary "Living With Michael Jackson" aired in February of 2003.� The boy in the video with whom Michael "shared his bed" soon after accused him of molesting him.� Martin Bashir also said that Neverland is a dangerous place for vulnerable sick children and that he questioned Michael's ability as a parent.� What a lot of people didn't see - and what the media never made a big deal out of - are the things Bashir said to Michael on his rebuttal video.� Michael also had the cameras rolling and this guy was praising him, he listened to Michael talk candidly about how hurtful the media is and promised he wouldn't do that to him.� He cut out a LOT of the footage surrounding the boy, and in the court testimony the boys state - there were other people in the room that night, including Michael's 2 children.� So now Martin Bashir says after Michael is dead that he doesn't think he was a criminal!� That's a far cry from calling someone's home a DANGEROUS PLACE FOR SICK VULNERABLE CHILDREN! After reading court documents, testimony, expert opinions, watching hours of videos of Michael, both versions of the Bashir documentary in their entirety, Michael was a very innocent man.� The series of events which the public never really saw unless they looked for it (even now this video only has a few thousand views) are shockingly in Michael's favor.� I now feel VERY bad about every evil thing I ever said about the child-molester... because the real criminals were the accusers.� I think it'll all come out soon.� I hope so.� Now it's making me angry when I read things just dismissing him... because he was found innocent and there's a reason why! I can't believe nobody is reporting this... and when 20/20 had this guy talk, they failed to let you hear Martin's prior comments about Michael... I heard them before I found this video of him and got really mad... so now I am trying to find the video in which he makes those statements.

I think Bashir was very conflicted about Michael Jackson. Personally I don't believe Michael sexually abused any children. But you have to admit, it is creepy for a grown man to sleep (in any capacity) and be so close with children. I think that came from Michael wanting to be a child himself. Michael did lie about many things though... he wanted to be white and gave himself endless amounts of plastic surgery to look more white, which he lied about having (he admitted to having "only 2," but give me a break-- we all know it was WAY more than that!). He lied about being the biological fathers of his children, because obviously his children weren't black and Michael was. And also, where did he get these children from? Now they're saying that Debbie Rowe might not even be the biological mother! There is a lot that Michael wasn't honest about, mainly because I think he was in such denial himself. It's really a sad situation. But overall I think that Martin Bashir does feel bad about his death. He was just deeply conflicted after spending that amount of time in Michael's world.

As a poster said above, were it not for his infamous interview of Michael and the horrible editing/slant he put on it, he would not be a household name and Michael's reputation may not have been so ravaged. Lots of entertainment figures are hobbled by poor choice of words, that is why so many of them use publicists whenever they communicate. Now, this is not a statement of support or condemnation, just something that struck me when I tried to make sense of the "molestation" charges: 1. There was no case to be made of the first accusation. The DA looked at ALL the facts and declined to bring charges. 2. He was acquitted of ALL charges on the 2nd accusation 3. The thing that caused the whole ruckus: "It is a good thing to share one's bed." It should be noted that is NOT the same as sleeping with someone....... He most likely had body dysmorphic disorder too. So if he didn't suffer from this he would've been more respected. That kind of behavior always gives way for people to scrutinize esp. being the big star that he was.

Wierd considering this is a grown man but he truly believed what he was saying, I just dont think he was capable of hurting anyone. Its ironic because at the age of 5 he was forced to grow up but when he did physically, he never really did grow up. But appearances can be anything and some took advantage of that. Including this lowlife MB. I just hope wherever he is, that he's in a better place.

Even on jjb, before he passed, when pics were posted of Michael, there was rarely a positive reply. I know thats common for jjb, but it still bothered me. I've always felt I had to defend him; and now its like everyone 'sees the light'. It just really makes me sad that people couldn't come to that revelation earlier. He didd'nt deserve the shit he went through. Oh and for the record, no he did not "want to be white".

In other words a journalist does NOT manufacture or manipulate a situation to project the POV that he/she feels will be the most controversial. That is making (up) the news, (the MO of tabloids) not reporting the news which ethical journalists hold in such reverence. Which description best describes Mr. Bashir?
